Misery

An attempt to get into Stephen King the way I was into "It." Never happened. The only thing I took away from this book was the eclipse that took place..and the preparation that was involved to see one. I had never gone through any trouble to see one and this book made me regret that I had never done it as child.

The Vampire Lestat

Where do I begin. This one is in my Top Ten. Lestat is in my top 5 favourite book characters of all time. Top 3 maybe. *sigh*
I get chills thinking about this one. This book shows so many sides to Lestat. His vulnerability when he was a new vampire, his ego as an ancient vampire. His awakening back to life in San Fransisco by a thing called Rock and Roll. His passion to be a singer in a rock band. One of my favourite things about Lestat in this book is his friendships and his eagerness to be loved...and to conquer. I make this book sound really cheesy, but its really dark and rich and full of little pieces of my soul. Plus its the only time I imagine Tom Cruise (as Lestat) and I like him. Thats no easy thing to do, but he really did a great job!

Interview with a Vampire

Ok. I would like to think that I am one of those vampire fans...but I am not. Vampire movies, they suck. Really. Even the one with Jim Carrey (but I totally rented it last year to watch it again!!!!!!!) However, these two Vampires-Louis and Lestat! My goodness. They're amazing. They're beautiful. They're scared. They're glamourous and they're human and monsters. I will never, however, finish the vampire chronicles. I will not read past The Queen of the Damned..but I really love the first two books in the series. More on The Vampire Lestat later.

The Great Gatsby

2 of 2 books Ive read for my English Class. I need to re-read this one again guys! I know SO MANY people who love love love this book and I was all like "Whatever" when I read this one. We also got the see the movie in class and I still wasn't impressed.. Daisy also pissed me off a lot. And I love flappers! Cmon..whats wrong here.
Defintely going to add it to my must re-read list. :)

The Crucible

One of the 2 books I have to read for my Junior Year English Class. I remember we got extra credit if we went to see the movie. The only place it was playing in was Beverly Hills. My friend and I were the only ones who got the extra credit. What an adevnture that was.
My teacher really loved this play. I remember that she had set aside a day when she could bring in all of her Salem Witch pictures from her trip to Salem. I was a bit spooked. She was really passionate about it though and it was sweet.

Of Mice and Men

I don't know why I read this book or what I even think about it. Moving? Sure. But I couldn't identify with either characters and it was sad sad sad sad. I did take something from it, but hell if I remember what that was!

Romeo + Juliet

Ah...Romeo + Juliet. 9th Grade. Oh, love. I have been dreaming of a love like theirs since then. My views on life and love have been inspired by Shakespeare himself. Love, like a fever. Love, like a dream. Love like Romeo & Juliet. I will never stop dreaming...and I will never stop loving.
