Good Omens

Another one of Toms recommendations! Yay Tom! This book really turned me onto Terry Pratchett and I love the way Neil Gaiman and Terry Pratchett complimented each other and their writing style. I love that you can tell the difference, too.
This book is seriously amazing! Aziraphale, the good angel, is posing as a book dealer in London. Cmon! Thats awesome.

Mates Dates and Cosmic Kisses

With a titles like Mates, Dates & Cosmic Kisses, who could go wrong?
This one was really cute. Oh teen books...I did read them only as part of my job, but I enjoyed them as well :)

Star Witness

My very own John Grisham. I love this man. And ok, I know this is strange and it really doesn't make sense AT ALL. There is nothing in this book that would even suggest it, but the lawyer in the series is Shawn Green in my head. Pretty awesome, I know. But its 100% random. I don't know. The two are no way close to each other in description. I just picture Shawn Green. :) And he makes a pretty damn good lawyer.

I really liked this book because Los Angeles plays a very big part. Not only for landscape, but type of people and the business. I grew up with all of that..that whole market, the industry. I knew people growing up who were in show business and so I can relate to it.

I bought as many books by this author that I can find but I have only read one more. I really really loved this one a lot. This book for me was what the movie "Mullholland Drive" should have been.

A Walk in the Woods

This book was wonderful. He inspired me on so many levels. And he also made me feel great when he talked about air conditioning and how some people refuse to enjoy the fresh spring air...I don't use air conditioning unless its really hot and gross...but my mom uses it all the time. And she is inconsistent with it. Ex:

Get in car.
Blast the air.
Turn it off.
Wait a few minutes.
Turn air on, but not as high.
Turn it down.
Ask around "is everything comfortable? are you getting any of this?"
Blasts it again.

Its annoying and it gives me a bit of a headache. I also don't like breathing in air conditioner. :( But don't get me wrong, it does become a neccessity for me too.

Also, I love the idea of just taking off time to hike. Thats beautiful. I think I would like to do it for a little while, but I know I would get tired of it pretty quickly only for the need to feel clean again. I am unhappy if I don't take a shower. I think its an ocd of mine..to constantly feel clean.

I was dissapointed at the end, but i love Bill Bryson and I love that he was so so honest with this publication.

Shutter lsland

So, back in the day, the stores would have book contests and every store had to choose a book to stand behind. We chose this one and we really wanted to win. So I had to read it! I couldn't just recommended it with enthusiasm without having read it.
It was good, but again, not my style. :(

This Lullaby

A teen book, this one. And Sarah Dessen is actually really great. Emilie and I talk about her all the time. :)

Me and Charlie

A young readers book. Seriously, how could I not read this book?! :) It was brilliant! :)

Tickled Pink

I read this one on Sherri's recommendation and I do remember laughing out loud, but I did take something else away from the book...it was a funeral scene and it was really moving. Everyone who attented the funeral had a story to tell about the deceased and it was just nice. Not uber sad, and not uber joyful either. Just right.

Stone Flower Garden

I remember this book well and it was alright, but I wouldn't read it now. I would choose something more up my alley.

Alice in Exile

Piers Paul Read. He is fantastic! Around this time is when I started to figure out what type of book I needed to read. Sure, there are still some books that make me cringe a little bit after this book, but more and more are winners. :) This one was a sure winner.

Roses Are Red

I swear, there are vampires in this book. Vampires?!
